All Cedars Sinai employees, patients, and community members are invited to participate. For any questions, you can reach us at contact@corale-study.org.

Participating in the CORALE study involves providing information on symptoms in addition to demographic, lifestyle, clinical, and related factors. We are collecting this information for at least one year and up to five years to track longer term outcomes. The main study involves filling out a survey and providing 1 to 2 blood samples. We are offering additional study procedures, all of which are optional so that you can choose which added parts of the study you would like to contribute to and which you may want to skip.

One option that will be offered is repeat SARS-CoV-2 antibody testing, which will be done to track how the immune system responds to exposure, infection, or vaccination in people over time.

If you are a healthcare employee, we will ask you to fill out a survey at the time of enrollment and then periodically for a year or longer. You can also let us know if you are interested in providing blood specimens at least once or more, for antibody testing and other biomarker measures. In addition, you can indicate if you are interested in additional study procedures such as assessments of cardiovascular and pulmonary function, smell, and neurocognitive function. If you are a frontline healthcare worker, our staff may reach out to offer certain study participation procedures (e.g. blood draw) at the location of your worksite for convenience.

If you have had confirmed or suspected COVID-19 illness, we will ask you to fill out a survey at the time of enrollment and then periodically for a year or longer. You can also let us know if you are interested in providing blood specimens at least once or more, for antibody testing and other biomarker measures. In addition, you can indicate if you are interested in additional study procedures such as assessments of cardiovascular and pulmonary function, smell, and neurocognitive function.

If you are a community member, we will ask you to fill out a survey at the time of enrollment and then periodically for a year or longer. You can also let us know if you are interested in providing blood specimens at least once or more, for antibody testing and other biomarker measures. For those who report exposure to COVID-19 or close contact with a COVID-19 affected person, you can indicate if you are interested in additional study procedures such as assessments of cardiovascular and pulmonary function, smell, and neurocognitive function.

For all people deciding to receive a vaccine against COVID-19, we will ask you to fill out a survey at the time of enrollment and then periodically for a year or longer. You can also let us know if you are interested in providing blood specimens before and after receiving vaccine dose(s) and then on a periodically repeated schedule to track levels of antibodies and other biomarker measures.
